Busy weekend working on school stuff, and the house

Friday was a calm evening with McDonalds for the kids and us going to bed early. Saturday was yummy breakfast taco morning, and watching the LONGHORNS WIN@ home! Yeah! Sunday had Sunday school and working on work stuff at home. It was a well needed boring weekend. I loved it! My twinners went to some halloween activities and we ate a yummy dinner at sisters. Mimi and Bumpy came to see the owl and we read, showers, and crawled in bed. It's black week and the big pirate day. They are so excited for Halloween! I can't wait to see them! I remember when they did it when they were two and asked me the next day after we had trick or treated why we don't do this everyday. They were so cute and funny! The Cowboy and the Cowgirl are going to look really cute!

Ate dinner at Mimi's

School was great, and the twins are telling everyone about our new owl. We ate at mimi's tonight and the kids were playing with bumpy. They like to play sorry and this pebble game outside. Mom and I just talked about life. Work is going ok, and I am going home to clean the house up, and get ready for the group to come watch Grey's....I like my little crew in my house for the show.

We brought our pumpkins to school today!

It was pumpkin day at school and the twins brought their pumpkins to school. Some mean boy told G boy that his pumpkin was not good, or something like that and made my boy cry. I am so angry that kids can say such mean and not true statements....why? I try to teach my children to be kind and use kind and loving words to their friends, each other, and even strangers. I have taught them that sometimes we talk about things or people who we see different as a family, where we can express ourselves in a trusting environment. Example: G girl sees someone at school that is in a wheelchair, doesn't say anything at school and comes home or in the car (can't remember) and asks why they look "weird and scary" We then talk about it as a family...talk about how God makes everyone and everything different. And he isn't weird or scary, he is just different than we are. He is happy and loved by his family. Sometimes we look different, Halloween, when we are sick, even with bed head! but we are loved and we need love. I really didn't expect to go off like this, but I wish that boy would say kind things. I hate to see my boy sad about such a stupid thing someone said. Also a boy elbowed mine in the side at the soccer game on saturday, because mine made a goal and got it past him. I told the other coach while I was out there coaching and watched the whole thing go down. I would have made that boy get off the field, he just said..." we don't hurt other people or elbow people" no apology, no time out. The boy just looked at me, like I got away with it. I would have taken my boy out of the game if he or the girl did it. Wrong, what are we teaching our kids. It is ok to hurt others.
Oh-well...it was a good day, let the kids stay up a little and watch a halloween type show on disney. They were so cute, sitting on the red chair together with a blanket snuggled up. I love it when they have their twin time. It makes me smile! Tomorrow will be Brown day...wish Mackenzi could see the cute outfit....i know miss kimmmie will tell her all about it!

It was cool and rainy...Monday Monday

It is brown week at Kindergarten, and the twins woke up in the best mood, they had slept 12 hours! So tired after a busy weekend. I forgot to send their special pumpkin....bad mommy. I will send it tomorrow. I did pack a halloween cookie for the kiddos and their teacher today in their lunch box. I worked all day and picked up the twins at walker area. They looked super cute in their matching Halloween outfits. Her shirt was orange, his black...hers with a witch and his with a dancing skeleton. It was cold and wet, them in their boots...it was really cute to see them. I don't want them to get any bigger. I made soup for sister and the kids...yummy...and off to showers and bed. It was a fun day and I know that tomorrow will be a new library book. We began reading Magic Tree house story tonight. G boy was really into it!

Sunday School, Peter Pan Golf, and goodbye

It was a very busy weekend. We woke up and were off to Sunday School and the twins played on the playground with their grandparents while I spoke to the RCIA group at church. It was difficult to talk about the loss of Mike, and those sad memories, but good to know that I can help others get through difficult times. I just wanted to hug my twins tighter afterwards. We headed to Whole Foods to eat lunch. It was yummy, and took some cool pictures at their pumpkin patch. The pumpkins were bigger than the twins. We went to Peter Pan golf to play putt putt. It was so funny to watch the twins who had never done it before. I laughed so hard as we played. I remember playing their with Mike on one of our dates, and never thought about what it would be like with my twinners...We went home and said goodbye to the grandparents. Had dinner at sisters...and came home to crash. I have so much laundry to do, but it will have to wait till tomorrow.

Saturday was fun and full of excitement

LONGHORNS WIN! That was the best thing of the day! Mom as the coach was pretty good too. We had so much fun as a family. G and G both scored four goals each. Both grandparents were there to watch. We dropped off one of our soccer girls at her church for a basketball thing, and headed to Central Market for lunch. We had a yummy lunch and headed to the fair. The kids loved the fair and all the things to do and eat.....cotton candy, snow cones...JUNK FOOD....oh well, give it up mom to expect them to eat only healthy things. My niece went and got me a big drink at Sonic...I could have given her a million dollars...I was so thirsty. Then home, shower, church and out to dinner with the grandparents. We went to get ice cream last and then off to bed. We have sunday school tomorrow. It will be a busy day. Shout out to M and S who we saw at the fair. They are the cutest girls I know! Hi to Nanook and her pillowcases...we have to get a LONGHORN one! hookem

G girls big pink bunny came, and auntie j's pillow was g boy's item. I picked up Mc Donalds for them to eat with their grandparents from chicago. I also found some very fun halloween cupcakes for them. They enjoyed lunch and I picked them up early to go bowling. They had fun, went to the pumpkin patch to pick out pumpkins for school, and then to Red Robin to eat dinner. After dinner, they went for a bike ride, and came home for a bath. Pool day for the twins and mom

We went to the pool after work and school. It was cold at first, but we had fun. We hadn't been swimming in a long time. We were the only people at the pool, so the life guards had to just watch us. We ate a yummy dinner, thanks to the W family! It was yummy. We had some family time, showers and they wanted to watch a little tv on disney. Some funny movie, I worked with one of my teachers...she is so excited about all the neat things she is doing in her room. I love watching her excitement. It reminds me of when I was a new teacher. I worked with middle school teachers, kinda crazy. Busy day tomorrow. Their grandparents from Chicago are here to spoil them. We are going to go take the twins lunch, and then go bowling that afternoon. Hope all goes well.

Three in the bed and the little one said...roll over!

There were three in my bed and the big one said...." I am not getting any sleep!" I love that book with the rhyme, "Three in the bed and the little one said roll over, roll over!" G boy made it to school in his PINK shirt and the girl matched...he looks so good with that dark hair and blue eyes in pink...i was worried about the pink color for pink day, but all is well...my boy is macho! I worked at school today, so I was so close by...I wish I could watch them in those four walls...they would make me smile! The boy went to mimi's during dance and my girl was the cute little balerina...she loves to dance and move! It is great exercise and she loves the prissyness of it! Tomorrow will be a quiet day...I hope. My sweet A friend brought us a yummy dinner and a crazy birthday surprise today...just love that girl. Her little boy came over and found my fridge magnets that are gears...guess that entertained him. But a shout out to the super cute A boy...love his cheeks! We made it through dinner, yummy at mimi's, showers and songs. Love those twinners.

It's pink week and my twins were so excited to be back at school. G girl forgot her library book, but I happened to be there and saw her teacher. I raced home to get her book, she was very excited to get to check a new one out. A boy in their class broke his wrist on the playground. G boy has been having a tummy ache and I'm up now with him in my bed. I hope he doesn't throw up...we have the bucket and everything. I called my mom and she is on call for the am. I have so much work tomorrow it is crazy....I hope we get a good night sleep. Some how I think we aren't....I'm scared! I had my cute Noah's Ark lesson for the preschool today...it was sweet and I was so glad my friend A was with me. To bad her son wasn't...I was going to have him be Noah! cute stuff.

We went downtown today to get our Christmas pictures taken. I was excited to take some at UT and see the campus. We went to the mall and found a dress for the girl, the boy is going to wear navy blue....they are just black and white photos, so I hope it doesn't show up. There is no black shirts out for boys right now, without any words on it. We stopped by Central Market on the way home and picked up some dinner. Their favorite...salad and tortilla soup! Had a short lesson, short art project and then went outside to play on the new playscape. The twins loved it and we talked with our old friends from last year. After church, we went home. I cleaned up the house some and then we got ready for our soccer game again. We went to Uncle J's for fajitas and went home early since we were very tired after a busy weekend. No school tomorrow! Another year older! Life as a mom

Another year older, and I can't believe that I am having a birthday! My soccer twinners played at ten, and the girl was on fire....she scored 3 or 4 goals and the boy had 2. She got the game award...yeah Lions. We got breakfast tacos on the way home! Texas won! They played great against a not so great team. I was happy. My sweet twin nieces came and picked them up, took them to buy me some bubble bath, baked a cake with them, and took them on a cool walk at Dies Ranch...they had fun together and with the dogs. Sister came over and we worked in the yard, I mowed and she picked weeds. It looks so much better. I need some plants and some mulch big time. The kids came home and we ate and watched football. The twins went to babysit, and my twins hung out and got ready for bed. They were really sweet to me, and I love my life as a mommy. Until another year, life just keep going on!

It was fun to watch the parade and big T did great! The girl looked cute in her ship and so did the boy...it was Purple show and tell today, which I forgot at home and had to go get after the parade. I went to work, kinda crazy...and then we picked up the tile from Home depot for their teachers kitchen. It is going to look good. We saw the lady bug teacher on the way home, and she came over. I love talking to her, she is such a great friend. We have snack tomorrow at soccer...hope they have a great game! And it's my birthday! So we will have a fun day! We are building an AIRCRAFT CARRIER!

Well, G girl had an awesome day! I do need to say...we only had a half day today! Ha Ha...so she didn't have much time to walk the dots...ok, enough about those dots....I picked up the twins and then headed to Central Market with some friends....it was nice to have the kids in the middle of the day...it reminded me of summer or last year...anyway..we bought the coolest pumpkins and I can't wait to decorate my house for fall. I am getting excited about the transportation parade in kindergarten. In a last minute, oh my gosh moment, my dad and I changed the boys vehicle to an aircraft carrier instead of a fighter jet. Our navy pilot will be here in a couple of weeks, so he will have to see the carrier instead. My dad got so into it...and it will look really cool. G boy is so excited. Bumpy will be spray painting it tomorrow. I hope it looks good. Tomorrow I will unveil the vehicle that G girl will have! Trust me, she will love it! I am looking forward to giving the Kinder team...some BLUE berry coffee cake in the am, and painting with marbles and blue paint. Hope they like it! The girl did great at dance and the boy loved playing at Mimi's .....tomorrow I work late, soccer practice and GREY'S! We are one more day closer to OU weekend....Hope it is not a blow out...Hook em horns!

Walk the dots again and Halloween store day!

Today was another fun day at the P home! My girl was a little wild and squirt her water bottle on her brother at school today @ recess....another teacher( the monkey one) that's what G girl said, you have to walk the dots three times. G girl freaked out, and my sweet friend, another teacher, was worried about the girl. So she watched over the twins after the dot walking had finished. They love Ms. K--ee...and she always looks after them. I got a phone call from Ms. K--ee and she was letting me know my girl was not wanting me to "be sad with her" i LOVE it that I have special friends who keep me in the loop, even though I'm at another school or hopping from teacher to teacher. I really need to thank Ms. K--ee's girl that I owe a big thank you to because she reads the blog and knew about the dot! I love you M! I'm so thankful that I taught you Kindergarten and you are the amazing girl you are! Good luck in Softball this year, we can't wait to watch your first game!
We went to the Halloween store after school with L from the Ladybug class. They saw some very questionable items at the store, I freaked out! Then we went to Michaels to get stuff for the transportation parade. We came home, I mowed the lawn while the kids rode bikes...took showers and got ready for bed. Story time and prayers. Tomorrow is Early Release! We are going to the market.....we are excited!

Sign the book, walk the dots, and tennis

Today was an interesting day for the twins. When I picked them up, the boy announced that the girl had to sign the book, walk the dots and got into some trouble. She was a mess about it...oh well, let's hope whatever she did, she won't do it again. I will say..I'm not one to sign a book, walk the dots, but....I'm not the teacher. I trust her and know that the girl must have needed it. I hope we have a better day tomorrow. We went to tennis after that and it was really fun to watch them and then to sisters for a yummy dinner. I miss my sister, she is an amazing mother and friend. We came home, a little tv time since we had taken our showers. I forgot to mention I went to my brother for a little surgery on my foot....I had the biggest blood blister from that crazy ut game. He popped it and really helped it feel better. Thanks brother!
